Adventures in Cornwall #1
November 05, 2016
Hey folks! It's been a bit of a while since my last post, I've been so busy with university that I've hardly had time for writing on here!
So, this is a bit of a catch up post, showing you what I've been up to recently. Lots of fresher's month was all about getting down to the beach for a BBQ and bit of an explore around the rock pools. I've been kayaking, surfing, swimming and getting to know the local wildlife- my course is BSc Zoology so most of the photos here and video snippets were from field trips. We've so far visited Hayle Estuary, Kynance Cove and the Lizard, as well as Kennall Vale which was hauntingly beautiful.
I'm planning to do a few posts soon about what my course involves, and what moving away from home is like, so if you have any questions drop them in the comments section below. I'll also do posts for my favourite places around Falmouth and things to visit if you visit Cornwall!
The above photo was from a bird ringing practical learning to tag wild birds, which was well worth the early morning start. Other practicals involved sampling and identifying marine life at the beach and plant species in the Lizard Peninsula.
