A day exploring Falmouth- cacti, food and old things

December 08, 2016

A few weeks ago, me and a friend of mine Taryn went on a day out into Falmouth, so I thought I'd share some photos of what we got up to on the day...
We ended up visiting two Christmas fairs and also a vintage fair, as well as exploring some local shops. Falmouth has some great independent boutiques and antique shops, so it was the perfect opportunity to pick up some unique gifts. Vintage Warehouse 13 (above) always has a great selection of clothes from Levi's to knitwear to sparkly leggings!
For lunch we popped into the trusty Packet Station. Taryn went for a double chicken burger and I had a burrito- it may not be the most attractive meal but it was very tasty!
We then headed to the Fish Factory for the vintage fair and also explored the furniture warehouse nearby.
Below: We visited TORO, which is the prettiest little shop selling houseplants and cacti. You can find it in the Old Brewery Yard, right next to our favourite bar, The Chintz. Both places are definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Falmouth! The Chintz has amazing artwork covering the ceilings and walls, a little room hidden behind a bookshelf, and you have to walk through a mirrored wardrobe to get to the toilets. It's based on Alice in Wonderland and fairy tales so you can see why it's my favourite place in Fal! I'll make sure I get some photos next time I go in, just so that you can see how beautiful it is inside!
What have you all been up to recently?
