My Four Most Popular DIY Tutorials

August 03, 2016

I've been looking at my blog statistics recently, and one thing was clear- DIY's definitely the most popular theme of post I've written. Also, today I hit 50,000 page views- how crazy is that!? Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed that people actually read my little space here on the internet, so thank you for that :)
Anyway, I thought I'd do a quick roundup of my four most popular tutorials, to bring back some old favourites and share a bit of nostalgia- enjoy!

HOW TO MAKE A PRESSED FLOWER PHONE CASE

My personal favourite DIY! I used a simple white case and layered up pressed flower petals and PVA before spraying with a clear laquer to fix the design. You could use all of your favourite flowers here, and even use some pretty leaves or sprinkle with glitter to create a totally unique design!

HOW TO MAKE LIP BALM AND SUGAR SCRUB

My number one most popular post of all time- two quick and simple methods to make your own beauty products. They're so cheap to make because they use store cupboard ingredients you probably already have, it takes 5 minutes to make both. Great for students like me who need budget friendly cosmetics.

HOW TO MAKE A NATURAL FOLIAGE AND BERRY CROWN

I originally wrote this tutorial for as a festive Christmas crown, because it would look amazing with a black dress for parties. However, it can easily be adapted with foliage and flowers that are in season for summer and autumn crowns. Fresh stems that are slightly bendy such as eucalyptus or ferns work well with this one, but you could also use a hot glue gun to add firmer branches or even dried flowers. I'm planning a new tutorial for more details on this!

HOW TO MAKE A SILVER HEART STACKING BRACELET

If you're a newbie to jewellery making, this is the one for you! This is honestly the simplest bracelet to make- you just need jump rings, a clasp, chain and a heart shaped link. Add them all together and you have yourself a stunning minimalist bracelet to add to your collection!

Let me know if you give any of these a go, or if you have any ideas for my next DIY projects!
