If you're a newbie to jewellery making, this is the one for you! This is honestly the simplest bracelet to make- you just need jump rings, a clasp, chain and a heart shaped link. Add them all together and you have yourself a stunning minimalist bracelet to add to your collection!

 It's been well over a year since my last DIY, so I think it's about time I showed you a little something new to make. The lack of craft posts is mainly due to the stress of A levels, which have now vanished and left me with a lovely long summer holiday- plenty of time to get creating again. DIY posts are actually my most popular type of post for views, so do let me know in the comments section if you have anything you'd like me to share!
I hadn't really thought of making my own underwear before, but recently I've been feeling inspired by The Great British Sewing Bee to get back to sewing and also try making a bra.
Making your own lingerie can be a bit intimidating because lace and elastic can be quite fiddly- especially pairing the two together. However, it was my first time tackling both and they weren't nearly as scary as I thought! Underwear can be so pretty yet so expensive (I can't justify the price tag on the beautiful For Love and Lemons pieces unfortunately) and making your own can be very cheap and fun! You can also adapt the pattern to fit by laying the paper pattern over a bra you already have and adjusting accordingly.

Why spend a fortune on beauty products when you can make your own? These are so quick and simple to make- I made both pots in less than 5 minutes, using only store cupboard ingredients. You probably already have everything you need right in your kitchen! They're the perfect size to pop in your bag or pocket for a quick splash of colour and smooth lips. The balm is slightly glossy and leaves a light pink colour, and the scrub is perfect for buffing off dry skin (plus it tastes great too). You can also adapt the recipe to your liking by changing flavours and colours to create your own personal beauty products.

You will need: Wire, tape measure, pliers, scissors, greenery of your choice- mine featured ivy, fir, eucalyptus and dog rose hips.

1. Cut a length of wire long enough to go around the circumference of your head two and a half times.
2. Bend the wire into a circle a little wider than your head, and wrap the rest of the wire around to strengthen it. This bit doesn't have to be tight or perfect- in fact you're going to need slight gaps in between the wires for  the next steps!
3. Begin by using long vines of ivy to wind around the wire base. Poke the ends of each vine into the gaps between the wires and tighten the wire together if needed to secure the vines. Keep winding and weaving the ivy around each other until you've got a good base covered in greenery.
4. Next, poke the stem of a eucalyptus branch into a gap between the wires and ivy and wrap the around, adding more branches until you get a shape you like. There isn't really a huge amount of technique to describe here- just keep adding and manipulating the greenery as you build it up.
5. Finally, tuck in a few sprigs of fir and berries for a colourful touch!

Sometimes the simple designs are the best, and jewellery is no exception. This dainty bracelet is so easy to make and take less than 5 minutes, so you might just want to make a whole bunch of them~
You will need- chain, clasp, 6 jumprings, heart links, pliers
Measure the size of your wrist and make your piece of chain this width, as it will get longer with the clasp and heart. Find the central link and remove it, so you have to equal pieces of chain.
Use a jumpring to attach one piece of chain to the heart, then repeat with the other side, so that you have the heart in the centre on the bracelet.
On one end of the bracelet connect 1-3 jumprings to determine the final length, and on the opposite side of the bracelet add the clasp using the final jumpring. And you're done!
